We’re here to make it easy for you to get the dental care you want. NO judgment and NO lectures.
Family time is everything to me, whether we’re having cozy movie nights, baking something sweet together, or chasing the kids around the backyard.
And when I do get a quiet moment to myself, you can bet I’m at the bookstore or curled up with a good read (even though I probably already have a stack waiting at home!). Books are my escape, my inspiration, and my favorite way to unwind. I love connecting with people — whether through stories, smiles, or shared experiences — and I bring that same warmth and care into everything I do at work.
Each day is a new chapter, and I’m grateful to be writing mine surrounded by great people.
Fresh air and open skies are my kind of therapy. And, of course, no outdoor adventure is complete without snacks — which might just be my favourite part! From packing the perfect picnic spread to trying out new snack recipes, I believe food tastes even better when enjoyed under the trees or by the water.
When I’m not out exploring, you’ll find me planning my next outdoor escape or spending time with friends and family, often with something delicious to share. I bring that same easygoing, down-to-earth energy into everything I do — whether at work or play — and I’m always up for good company, good conversation, and a little sunshine.
I enjoy everything from pediatrics to geriatrics and helping anxious patients feel calm. I will do everything I can to help patients feel at ease from the moment they walk in the door.
When I am not at Smiling Dental my happy place is in the kitchen trying new recipes or baking cakes for my small business and tending to my mini zoo. Our menagerie includes our dog Luna, cat Diogi, budgie BirdieSmalls and a dozen tropical fish.
After 12 years of dental assisting I am happy to have found an amazing team of like minded people to work with and look forward to meeting you at your next appointment.
It’s crazy that after living in Dundas for most of my dental career, I have the opportunity to work so close to home.
Growing up, we moved a lot. Every 2 years it seemed. Making the move from Manitoba to Ontario was the biggest one in 1990. I had the opportunity to go attend Parkside High school for 1 year before moving on to Hamilton.
I enjoy working with the Smiling Dental team as they are all friendly, approachable and share similar goals. Their support and encouragement as a team makes anything possible. Communication is key, afterall, I’m not a mind reader.
I have a very busy family life that is built on 11 years of marriage to a very patient and kind husband with 2 spirited kids that I love with all my heart & Princess Pepper (our Golden Doodle) as the finishing touch.
It’s crazy that after living in Dundas for most of my dental career, I have the opportunity to work so close to home.
When I’m not at the office you would find me splashing in the pool, roller blading or on some sort of adventure with my family. We love supporting local but also love traveling. We enjoy big city trips as a couple and are always looking for a new cruise to sail on the open ocean as a family!
I am very excited to see my career grow with Smiling Dental and can’t wait to see friendships and patient relationships develop. I’ll keep you smiling at Smiling Dental!!!
You’ll often find me behind the lens, bringing stories to life through photography, experimenting with flavors in the kitchen, or venturing off the beaten path in search of inspiration. Whether I’m documenting love stories, crafting delicious meals, or embracing the unknown, creativity is at the heart of everything I do.
Art is my outlet for self-expression, and there are no limits to my creative mindset. Whether it’s painting with acrylics or watercolors, my artwork reflects my unique perspective and imaginative touch. I also find happiness in crocheting and knitting, crafting cozy blankets, stylish scarves, and cute accessories while pushing myself to learn new techniques.
Spending quality time with my family is invaluable to me. Whether it’s a cozy movie night at home, an exciting park outing, or exploring new places, I cherish every moment shared with my husband and daughters. Their laughter and love bring immeasurable happiness into my life.
Professionally, I’ve found my true calling in the dental field. As a dental professional, I combine my passion for helping others with a warm and friendly demeanor. Creating a comfortable and positive atmosphere, I strive to put patients at ease and make their experience as pleasant as possible. I am so thankful for Smiling Dental for providing me with a work family that shares the same family values and prioritizes patients’ needs above all else.
After realizing that my previous career wasn’t as rewarding as I hoped, I embraced the opportunity to help others as part of their smile journey. Outside of work, I am a proud mom to an energetic 3-year-old son and a mischievous orange cat, Cheeto that I share with my husband. When I’m not in the dental office, you can find me indulging in my love of reading, reality TV, and, of course, food—particularly sweets, despite my profession!
I am passionate about making people smile, both literally and figuratively, and I value the personal connections I make here at Smiling Dental.
At Smiling Dental, I’m proud to be part of a boutique practice where comfort, precision, and artistry come together to redefine the dental experience. My approach is centered on trust, compassion, and excellence—ensuring every patient feels valued, understood, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.
I believe that dentistry is both a science and an art, and I take pride in helping patients achieve confidence through their smiles. Outside the office, I love to travel, spend time with my family, and discover new culinary experiences at exceptional restaurants. I’m passionate about living life beautifully—whether through creating radiant smiles or meaningful experiences beyond the dental chair.
Finding true happiness at work has allowed me to spend quality time with my family when I’m home.
I am a proud mom of a beautifully talented 13 year old girl – aka – Addi cakes. Wife to a fun-loving bearded barber – aka -Scumbag Craig.
We’ve made Brantford our home with our 2 pups Lola and Bruce. Lola is our lazy, stubborn, loud English Bulldog and Bruce is our BernieDoodle – a big loving house horse.
Working for Smiling Dental is a dream come true! I’m grateful to be apart of a team that believes in me just as much as I believe in them. Everyone’s voice matters, is heard and respected.
A dream office, a dream job with a dream team – who could ask for anything more!
Music is the soundtrack of my life, whether in around a fire with friends, hiking the local trails, backyard barbecuing with my family or cruising a country road, I’m always ready to sign along.
Family is important to me. I look forward to starting my own one day. In the meantime, I love spending time with my niece and nephew and of course my cat Tulip.
I love seeing people smile, which sparked my passion for my career in dentistry. I thrive in providing quality care to all of my patients and love seeing a smile on their faces.
I am so happy to be starting a new adventure with the wonderful team here at Smiling Dental!
It’s easy to feel like you’ve let things go too far — like your smile is beyond saving and there’s no point in even trying.
Maybe you’ve avoided the dentist for years. Maybe you’ve been living with pain, embarrassment, or the fear of being judged. Maybe a part of you has stopped believing things could ever be better.
Dr. Michael Ling meets people like this every day — and helps them take the first step toward a future they thought was off the table.
If you’re ready to eat, smile, and live with confidence again… your second chance might be closer than you think.
If you’ve been living with pain, avoiding the dentist, or struggling with dentures that never quite feel right — you’re not alone. And you won’t get any judgment here.
Dr. Sorana Schneider has helped so many patients who were scared, ashamed, or convinced it was too late. No judgment. No lectures. Just real conversations and a plan that finally makes sense.
If what you need most is someone who listens and understands — she’s ready when you are.
They stopped hiding and took their smile back.
Could your own comeback story be next?
— Madeline from St. Williams
For years, Madeline kept her smile hidden. Whether she was chatting with friends, meeting someone new, or just walking into a room, she was constantly trying to keep her mouth closed — afraid people would notice, afraid they’d judge.
“Even my husband noticed it… I talked less. Smiled less. I didn’t feel like myself.”
She was tired of the awkward stares. Tired of wondering what people were thinking when they looked at her teeth. It was more than a cosmetic issue — it was affecting her confidence, her energy, and the way she showed up in her life.
Then she met Dr. Michael Ling.
From the very first visit, Madeline felt heard and supported. There was no judgment — just a clear, compassionate plan to give her a smile she could be proud of. The transformation was smoother than she expected — and more life-changing than she imagined.
Now?
She smiles without thinking. She’s more talkative, more open, and far more confident — and people notice.
“Before, people would stare and wonder what was wrong. Now they stare and say, ‘Wow, your smile looks amazing.’ And I actually enjoy saying, ‘Thank you.’”
– Walter from Grimsby
Walter spent years silently struggling with failing teeth. On the surface, no one really noticed — he learned to hide it well. But behind closed doors, the impact was real: constant breakage, pain, and the anxiety of trying to talk or smile without revealing too much.
“Even though people said they couldn’t tell, I always tried to hide my teeth. I felt embarrassed… and I stopped going out.”
The worst part? It snuck up on him. His teeth weren’t always that bad — but over time, things worsened. And like many people, he waited. Put it off. Avoided dinners. Declined invitations. Hid behind excuses.
Until one day, he saw Dr. Michael Ling online, booked a consultation, and took the first step.
“They were kind, welcoming, and answered every question I had. From there, it just felt easy.”
Today, Walter eats what he wants — confidently, comfortably, without fear of another tooth breaking. He smiles when he talks. He says yes to social plans again. And most of all, he feels like himself again.
“I wish I had done it 10 years ago. It’s not cheap — but it’s worth every dollar. It’s changed my life.”
